There are many standards in AutoCAD electrical we can choose and start working.
- IEC Legacy (Millimeters)
- IEEE (Millimeters)
- IEC – 60617 (Millimeters)
- JIC (Inches)
- JIS (Millimeters)
- NFPA (Inches)
- AS (Millimeters)
- GB (Millimeters)
In AutoCAD Electrical we can get the above mentioned standard in two ways. - By Add or Remove Features
- Project Settings
Add or Remove Features
In this method we have to go to control panel and uninstall AutoCAD electrical, After that we got the AutoCAD Electrical window, there will be three options add or remove features, repair or reinstall and uninstall, we need to select to add or remove features.
After that we have to select all standard and then update AutoCAD electrical.
Control Panel > Uninstall A Program > Select The AutoCAD Electrical > Uninstall the AutoCAD Electrical > Add Or Removes Features > Select All Symbol Libraries > Select All Manufacturer > Select the path > Update > Finish
Project Settings
We have to create project and check which symbol library is set after that we need to change symbol libraries as per project requirement so we need to right click on project, then go to properties, then select the symbol libraries we want to work with.
Right Click On Active Project > Properties > Project Settings > Drop Down The Schematic Icon Menu File > Select The Path > Browse > Select IEEE Menu > Ok > Check In Icon Menu
Note : We can select symbol Libraries in schematic icon menu file but when all symbol libraries are installed in AutoCAD, Otherwise first we have to install all standard libraries using add or remove feature.
