Here are the various draw toolbar available on the AutoCAD.

The most basic drawn tools:

  • Line
  • Circle
  • Rectangle
  • Polyline
  • Revision Cloud

    Line Command
The line command will allow to create a series of contiguous line segments, click the desired start point for the line and drag to the desired length.

Line (shortcut command L) > Space or enter button > give the desire length or specify the first and second point > Spacebar
    line command

    Polyline Command polyline
The polyline command will allow us to create a sequence of segments that will be a single object. We can create straight-line segments, arc segments, or a combination of the two.

Arc – The arc option will allow us to create an arc segment for the polyline.

Halfwidth – The halfwidth option sets the width of the next polyline segment we draw. Widths that are greater than zero produce wide lines, which will automatically fill.

Polyline (shortcut command PL) > Space or enter button > give the desire length or specify the first and second point or give the Arc Arc OP_PL> Spacebar

Rectangle Command
Create a rectangular polyline by allowing you to select the two opposite corners of the rectangle. We also can control the type of corners (fillet, chamfer, or square).

Rectangle (shortcut command REC) > Space or enter button > give the first corner point or click on screen > give the dimensions “d” ( exp: 420W X 290H) > Click on the screen > spacebar

Circle Command

While using the circle command, we’ll have the following options available before you pick the first point.

3P –  3P, or three-point, option allows you to pick three points on the circumference of the circle.

2P – 2P, or two-point, option allows you to pick two endpoints of the diameter of the circle.

Ttr –  Ttr (tangent, tangent radius) option draws a circle with a specified radius tangent to two objects. the first point being an object for the first tangent of the circle. The selected object must be a circle, arc, or line. The second point is the second tangent of the circle. The selected point must be a circle, arc, or line. Then you can specify the radius of the object.

Circle (shortcut command C) > Space or enter button > give the Radius or dimeter > spacebar

Revision Cloud
We need to submit the drawings many times to client/customers for approval. We need to update comments in the drawing which are given by client/customers. That’s why sometimes we need to create revision cloud.

Revision Cloud (shortcut command REVC) > Space or enter button > give the Arc length > back from arc length and select rectangular > draw > spacebar
