How To Insert Wire In AutoCAD Electrical
In AutoCAD Electrical we can insert wire in different types.
Wire
22.5 Degree Wire
45 Degree Wire
67.5 Degree Wire
For Wire we need to go Menu Bar > Schematic > Wire
If We Choose first option Wire, We can freely draw the wire in any angle.
If We Choose 22.5 Degree Wire, We can Draw the wire to the specified angle which is 22.5 degree.
If We Choose 45 Degree Wire, We can Draw the wire to the specified angle which is 45 degree.
If We Choose 67.5 Degree Wire, We can Draw the wire to the specified angle which is 67.5 degree.
Note: Sometimes we pull wire and it will pull from angle without selecting angle option, so we need to go Drawing Properties > Styles > Wiring Style > Wire Tee > None or Dot.
Interconnect Components
Insert wire between two component we can use Interconnect Components, But both the components should be 100% parallel to each other.
Click Schematic tab > Insert Wires/Wire Numbers panel> Insert Wires drop-down > Interconnect Components > Select First Component > Select Second Component > Space Bar
Gap or Loop or Solid
When a new wire crosses another, a gap/loop or jumper is inserted automatically and we can also do manually.
For Manually we need to click in Gap > Select First wire > Select Second wire
Note: Sometime we are trying to insert gap or jumper but unable to do so we need to check setting of wire cross and set loop for jumper in Drawing Properties, there are another two more wire cross Gap, Solid that we will set as per need.
Flip the Gap/Loop
.
The gapped wire becomes solid and the gap/loop flips to the crossing wire.
How Do We Insert The Multiple Bus
Multiple bus is very important in electrical, sometimes we want to draw 3 phase 4 wire or we need to design field cable where there will be multiple cables at that time we can use this command and at a time we Can draw multiple cables.
We Can Draw Multiple Wire Bus In Four Different Ways
Component (Multiple Wire)
Another Bus (Multiple Wire)
Empty Space, Go Horizontal
Empty Space, Go Vertical
Menu Bar > Schematic > Insert Wire/ Wire Number > Multiple Bus
Component (Multiple Wire)
Insert Component From Icon Menu > Select Component > Insertion Point Turn Red > Space Bar > Define The Length Of Wire
Another (Multiple Wire)
Another Bus ( Vertical )
Insert Horizontal Wire > Select Horizontal wire > Specify the distance between two wire > Number of wires > ok > Define The Length Of Wire
Another Bus (Horizontal)
Insert Vertical Wire > Select Vertical wire > Specify the distance between two wire > Number of wires > ok > Define The Length Of Wire
Empty Space, Go Horizontal
Select Empty Space (Horizontal) > Specify the distance between two wire > Number of wires > ok > Define The Length Of Wire
Empty Space, Go Vertical
Select Empty Space (Vertical) > Specify the distance between two wire > Number of wires > ok > Define The Length Of Wire
